Payment Options & Policies

Tomorrow’s Hope believes that financial transparency is an important part of exceptional mental health care. I understand that navigating healthcare costs can feel overwhelming, and I am committed to making the process straightforward and clear. This page outlines Tomorrow’s Hope payment options and financial policies so you can make informed decisions with confidence and focus on your care.

I accept cash, Zelle, and Visa or Mastercard for payment. I do require payment on the day of service. You can prepay on the client portal with your credit card and store it within your client portal to allow payment. There is a 3% fee rounded to the nearest dollar for credit card payments to cover processing fees.

I can give you a Superbill for you to send to your insurance. The purpose of the Superbill is to give your insurance an opportunity to reimburse you for some portion of the visit. Some insurances will pay a percentage of out-of-network charges. You must request a Superbill if you choose to file with your insurance for out-of-network services. I will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.

SELF-PAY

A woman sitting on a grassy hill overlooking the ocean and coastline with trees and distant hills on a cloudy day.

Tomorrow’s Hope believes that quality mental health care should be accessible and affordable. I am committed to transparent pricing, clear communication, and practical payment options so that all individuals and families can focus on treatment and recovery, not financial uncertainty.

For patients who do not have private health insurance or are choosing to pay out-of-pocket, Tomorrow’s Hope offers competitive self-pay rates for my services. I am committed to outlining transparent pay rates and will offer you a good faith estimate upon request.

The “Why“ behind private pay

Tomorrow’s Hope operates as a private-pay practice to provide a higher level of personalized care. I am committed to offering patient-centered care, not seeing a required number of patients to meet a quota. Working outside of insurance networks allows me to spend more time with each patient, offer flexible appointment options, and focus fully on clinical needs rather than insurance requirements. This approach also helps protect your privacy, as sensitive mental health information is not routinely shared with insurance companies. Upon request, I can provide documentation in the form of a superbill that you may submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. I cannot guarantee reimbursement will be provided by your insurance, so it is recommended that you check with the insurance provider regarding your particular plan. Insurances that offer out-of-network benefits will reimburse for around 50-80% of your fee. I am happy to discuss this with you if you have any questions. I am also willing to offer a discount when multiple family members are receiving care from Tomorrow’s Hope.

Payment is due at the time of service.

Below are some examples of the cash rates for the most common appointment types (these are base prices and other fees may apply):

  • Initial Psychiatric Evaluation (60 minutes): $250 Credit card payment ($258) – Includes a comprehensive assessment, personalized treatment plan. This initial session may involve medical history review, psychological evaluation, and lab orders if needed.

  • Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation (90-105 Minutes): $300-$350 Credit card payment ($309-360.50) — Includes additional time to review medical conditions that require diagnostic workup or time for collaboration with outside physicians regarding the medical diagnoses.

  • Extended Psychiatric Evaluation (90-105 Minutes):$300-$350 Credit card payment ($309-361) — Includes additional time to review multiple medical conditions being treated by outside physicians that require more focused monitoring for medication compatibility and safety. This would also include elimination of medications that may contribute to polypharmacy (The regular use of 5 or more medications at the same time, common in older adults with co-morbid conditions and at-risk adolescents and younger adults).

  • Follow-Up Medication Management (25 minutes): $125 Credit card payment ($130) — For ongoing medication monitoring, adjustments, and brief check-ins.

  • ADHD Evaluation: $250-$300 Credit card payment ($258-$309) —Includes a comprehensive history and assessment with adults, adolescents, parent(s), and assessments from teachers. There is no magical test that can tell you if you have ADHD. It will be a process of gathering information, collaboration with other health care providers, and ruling out/in other conditions.

  • Eating Disorder Evaluation: $250-$300 Credit card payment ($258-$309) — Includes a comprehensive history and assessment with adults, adolescent and parent(s), and anyone that may be able to provide collateral history, including primary care providers or pediatricians. Eating disorder treatment also involves coordination of care with a nutritionist, requiring extra time for information gathering and treatment planning.

  • Follow-Up Medication Management with Functional Impairment, Unresolved (60 minutes): $150-$200 Credit card payment ($155-$206) — For ongoing medication management monitoring/adjustments with ongoing functional impairment that consistently requires more monitoring.

  • Follow-up with Brief Psychotherapy (25 minute follow-up with 15-20 minutes therapy): $175 Credit card payment ($180) - For patients that may need brief additional support.

  • Telehealth Psychiatric Consultation (30-60 minutes): $150-$200 Credit card payment ($155-$206) – Virtual appointments for evaluations or follow-ups, offering the same quality care with the convenience of remote access. Evaluations typically take more time for history gathering, so plan for the cost to be a minimum of $200, and usually thereafter will be about $150-$175.

  • Additional time spent with patient per patient request or provider requirement (30 minutes): $75-$125 Credit card payment ($80-$130) — Includes additional discussion of new symptoms, increased symptoms, or potential side effects of medications. Additional time increment estimates are not a guarantee of available time added a to scheduled appointment. This fee would be in addition to the cost of the follow-up appointment.

  • Additional time spent with patient per patient request or provider requirement (60 minutes): $150 - $200 Credit card payment ($155-$206) — Includes additional discussion of new symptoms, increased symptoms, or potential side effects of medications. Additional time increment estimates are not a guarantee of available additional time for a scheduled appointment.

FORM Requests and Completion:

I am a solo practitioner, therefore I have no one to complete administrative tasks for me. Documents differ in page length and content requirements. Most document completion prices will be based on the number of pages. This takes as much time as one or two new patient appointments. And when there are multiple forms to be completed, I have to take into account the time it takes to filter through patient records and formulate a recommendation based on the patient and their specific circumstances. There is no such thing as a standard template. Most insurance companies or corporations have their own documents. I cannot complete forms for another provider or a provider that you may have seen in the past. I can only provide documentation for the time and sessions I have spent with you. If you present a form that you are requesting be completed for the next day, there will be a rush fee added to the charge that will need to be paid before the forms are released to you. I do exercise the right to say “NO” to last minute requests, if it will impede or interfere with patient care. There is no guarantee that a “next-day” request will be granted. If a request is presented on a Friday, next-day is considered next business day, which is Monday.

Please understand, the purpose of these charges are for transparency. I do not want you to feel surprised about anything. These are part of the terms of service for Tomorrow’s Hope. I want to be fair to you, and I also have to consider the administrative cost to the services provided. Please feel free to discuss any questions or concerns that you may have regarding the fees.

Forms with 2 pages or less: $25

Forms with more than two pages up to 5 pages: $50

Forms with more than five pages will be based on time to complete: $100-$150 Forms that are more than 5 pages generally take about an hour, sometimes more. So the fee will most likely be the equivalent of a follow-up appointment. I would generally recommend that you expect the higher rate.

Multiple Forms: $150 and up If you have forms to be completed for an employer and then a form for an insurance company seeking short-term or long-term disability, these forms tend to be labor intensive and consume time and require coordination. I may need time to review the forms before giving you an estimate on the cost.

Letters written for accomodations or disability extensions are a per letter fee: $25 per letter If I have to complete 3 letters on 3 different occasions for 3 separate requests, the charge will be $25 each letter request, not a one-time fee.

If you have any concerns about the charges listed, please feel free to call and we can discuss any questions or concerns that you may have. My intention is patient-centered care. I do not want you to feel rushed or hurried through any service. Appointments with adolescents or minor children require meeting with the patient and often with a parent/parents. This does require more time and coordination. Services for adolescents and young adults often will be slightly higher.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act)

A woman with brown hair and a floral dress sits in a field of dry grass, smiling while looking at her phone.

Tomorrow’s Hope complies with the Federal No Surprises Act, designed to protect patients from unexpected medical bills. Under federal law, patients who are uninsured, not using insurance (self-pay), or seeking services out-of-network have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) explaining the expected cost of services. Tomorrow’s Hope will make every effort to offer clear and transparent pricing. There are times when details arise in the initial evaluation or follow-up that require additional time or diagnostic workup. I will offer cost ranges for appointments that require additional time or diagnostic evaluation for review to understand potential additional services pricing.

You may request a GFE before scheduling or at any time during treatment. A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of total expected costs (including psychotherapy, evaluations, and diagnosis codes) will be provided for all scheduled services. If your appointment is scheduled 3+ business days before, the estimate will be provided within 1 business day of the appointment. If your appointment is scheduled 10+ business days before, the estimate will be provided within 3 business days. Texas law also has protections against surprise billing, The GFE is based on information known at the time of scheduling and does not include unexpected costs. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your GFE, you have the right to dispute the bill.

You may visit CMS.gov or the Texas Department of Insurance.gov  for more information.
